Future Programs
This community will provide more than just shelter — it will offer wrap-around support programs including job training, counseling, wellness care, and guidance toward permanent housing. Our goal is to create a safe and empowering environment where every veteran can rebuild, reconnect, and reclaim their future.

Hands of Restoration
Hands for Restoration is our quarterly program dedicated to serving veterans with care, dignity, and respect. We offer:
Haircuts and grooming to boost confidence
Clothing assistance for work, interviews, and daily life
Hygiene support to promote health and well-being
More than providing essentials, Hands for Restoration helps restore pride, dignity, and a sense of belonging.

At Helping Hands for Heroes, we may not have a physical hub yet, but our mission is already alive and active! By partnering with trusted local nonprofits and veteran-focused organizations, we’re ensuring that those who have served receive the support, respect, and resources they deserve.
Our strength comes from collaboration—and from the voices of veterans and partners who remind us why this work matters.
Recently, we were honored to join forces with the Clara White Mission and their Transitional Housing Program, creating moments of joy, comfort, and connection for the veterans they serve. Together, we shared food, laughter, games, and storytelling.
We have also connected with Five Star Veterans, providing care packages that delivered more than essentials: they delivered hope.
Our partnerships with these and other local non-profits are laying the foundation continued collaboration and future success for Mission 82.

Voices from the Day
Here’s what some of the veterans shared about their experience:
“There's been a lot of resources available to me for housing and employment, but the Helping Hands Organization has been one of the biggest reminders of compassion that's still in the world. It's not just about the food and drinks but a reminder to smile, laugh, and enjoy even in the midst of hard times.” — Marcus C.
“I had an afternoon of fun and laughter with the Helping Hands Organization. We were engaged in games for prizes, and I won the Spade tournament. I was able to have some competitive fun and engage with my fellow veterans in a safe atmosphere.” — Carl M.
“The members of the Helping Hands Organization are warm, kindhearted people. I really appreciated the fact that they were not scared to mingle and have fun with us. I had a blast.” — Horace H.

“I am so grateful for the Helping Hands Organization. From the first time they met me and saw what our organization does for veterans experiencing homelessness, they jumped right in and became a blessing to our male and female veterans. Their team has provided much-needed support—from obtaining hygiene items, to assisting with clothing for our veterans to attend a Gala, to helping with our annual Christmas Party. Their willingness to help, no matter how big or small the need, has been such a blessing.”
